Makenzie continued--
All of the pictures we took were at Makenzie's house. We waited until around 3:00 to start because of the lighting. You can get a lot of great natural lighting if you wait until the sun starts to set, although, you want to start a little before that so your subject doesn't have to squint all of the time!
The first picture in the group, I had her squat down and hold the bars with her hands and look through the bars of the gate. This pose really suited her, it was as if she was looking out from a cage. And at the time, it was real for her.
With photographing people, you need angles...whether it be arms, legs, head..angles, angles, angles!
